About
I started in cybersecurity and Linux. While studying, I founded several Linux user groups. My first jobs were in IT, in Milan and then at one of the first cloud sync startups in Silicon Valley. At Pfizer in Berlin and Rome I worked as an IT business analyst, bringing HR systems together after M&A. That was my first step into pharma, and where technology and HR met for me. I’ve worked at that crossing ever since.
In 2013 I moved fully into HR business partnering. Since then I’ve worked in Italy, the UK, the US, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland, and on hundreds of HR projects across more than 30 countries. Every country brings its own rules, its own culture of work and its own sense of what a fair decision looks like. What holds across all of them: people decisions work when they’re clear, owned and explained.
Today I’m in Basel, responsible for HR across several sites and functions in Lonza’s Integrated Biologics business, after about twelve years with Patheon and Thermo Fisher Scientific. The purpose is simple: helping make the medicines patients around the world need.
I never left the tech side. Slackware is still my Linux of choice, and I keep experimenting with open models and multi-agent setups. I’m passionate about the Future of Work and spend much of my free time exploring how AI and robotics will come together. I also help grow a Meshtastic mesh network. It keeps me honest about what AI can and can’t do in real work.
I’m from Milan, married to a wonderful scientist, with two kids.
